Blogger Week celebrates multicultural digital media and provides resources and training to 200+ bloggers yearly. BloggerWeek.com

WASHINGTON, DC – On Saturday, October 12, 2019, Bloggers Connect is hosting its 5th Annual Blogger Week UnConference at Trinity Washington University. Blogger Week features a week of training, networking events, and other activities focused on elevating the work of bloggers, influencers, and journalists of color. The Blogger Week Un/Conference has provided training to 1000+ Black bloggers, influencers, and social media enthusiasts over the last five years.

This year’s Blogger Week UnConference features an opening plenary with Lynn Cooper, managing partner of Socially Ahead, a live interview with Special Guest, Roland Martin, host of #RolandMartinUnfiltered, 15+ sessions and workshops by a dynamic selection of digital media specialists, and a presentation by Upscale Magazine, the official media sponsor of Blogger Week 2019.

Blogger Week was founded in 2014 by cultural storyteller and communications specialist, Jessica Ann Mitchell Aiwuyor (J.A.M. Aiwuyor). As a graduate of Syracuse University’s, S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and Pan African Studies master’s programs, J.A.M. Aiwuyor has dedicated her career to advancing and elevating multicultural communications.

This year, Blogger Week will feature Facebook Live interviews with Black bloggers on the rise, the Blogger Week Networking Mixer, and the largest event, the Blogger Week UnConference, will feature bloggers from across the nation.

“We’re excited for Blogger Week 2019! As part of Black Bloggers Connect and The Centered Voices Project, Blogger Week centers rising Black and Brown voices in the digital space and beyond. It is one of the few events focused on digital media that uplifts and nurtures Black and Brown voices, while providing affordable training and seminars – making our conference more accessible to communities that are often marginalized in these conversations.

Blogger Week is sponsored and supported by Upscale Magazine, Bronner Bros., Modern Stitches Magazine, The PR Alliance, Our Legaci Books, Rainbow Uniforms, The Centered Voices Project, and Black Bloggers Connect.

Tickets can be purchased at BloggerWeek.Eventbrite.com or BloggerWeek.com. For media passes and interviews, email bloggerweek@gmail.com. To be a vendor or sponsor, email bloggerweek@gmail.com.
