Founder of Blogger Week
Jessica Ann Mitchell Aiwuyor (aka J.A.M.) is an author and cultural storyteller. She’s the founder of the Blogger Week Un/Conference and Black Bloggers Connect, a community of 10,000+ bloggers of African descent around the world. Additionally, J.A.M. is the founder of Our Legaci Press, an independent Black-owned publishing company that shares stories from across the Pan African World.
Her writings about African American cultural heritage and ethnicity have been published and cited across a wide range of publications including Huffington Post, the Business Insider, MSNBC, LA Progressive and TV One’s “News One Now.” Her blog, OurLegaci.com, has reached over 2 million readers worldwide.
She has helped to shift the cultural landscape through her work in civil rights and progressive movements at New Organizing Institute, Megaphone Strategies, and Fitzgibbon Media. J.A.M. combines her unique expertise and creative prowess to launch programs and institutions dedicated to social change and empowerment through storytelling.
