Casey is the founder and managing attorney of C. Handy Law. C. Handy Law is a boutique law firm based in Houston, TX dedicated to educating and serving creative entrepreneurs, innovators, and entertainers. Whether it’s through specialized one-on-one services, or providing timely tips and commentary through the firm’s blog, Handy Business Tips™.
As an advocate for entrepreneurship and the arts, Casey volunteers with Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts (TALA), and serves as a Mentor at Station Houston; Houston’s hub for tech startups and innovators. Casey also sits on the Young Professionals Board of LiftFund,Inc., a national non-profit organization dedicated to the financial literacy of small businesses. Casey enjoys sharing her areas of proficiency with these communities, and speaking about the legal perspective of business development to various other organizations.
Prior to starting her own practice, Casey worked in several legal arenas, including business and entertainment based law firms, the legal department of General Electric, and clerked for both state and federal judges.
Casey received her law degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, TX, and her Bachelors of Arts from Alabama State University.
Casey enjoys travelling, reading, and playing the piano.
